Student from another university enrolling for Laurea's studies

Method 1

You are studying at Centria, Haaga-Helia, HAMK, Humak, Lapland UAS, Metropolia, TAMK, Turku AMK, VAMK or XAMK

Enrol through your university's student's desktop (Pakki/Peppi).

If you study at Haaga-Helia or Metropolia, you are allowed to enrol through student's desktop only for 3AMK studies. For CampusOnline studies you have to still enrol via CampusOnline webpage.

Method 2

You study at another Finnish university

Enrol through a separate enrolment form found at the course description at CampusOnline webpage.

Below you can see the instruction to enrol for Laurea's cross-institutional studies. The enrolment method depends on your home university. 

The cross-study service is not yet in use in all universities or networks. 

Enrolment methods for Laurea's studies

  • I study at Centria, Haaga-Helia, HAMK, Humak, Lapland UAS, Metropolia, TAMK, Turku AMK, VAMK or XAMK 
    1. Explore the study offerings on the student desktop (e.g., Pakki or Peppi).
      • Add the cross-study course in your PSP under the appropriate heading (selecting courses tab).
      • Click on the course name to access information about the course content and implementation.
    2. Enrol for a course offered by Laurea on the student desktop.
      • Information about the enrolment period is visible on your PSP (overview tab -> icon indicates when enrolment is open).
        Enrol for the course (enrollments tab). During enrolment pediod, you must consent to the transfer of your personal information to the organising university's student registry.
    3. Once your registration is accepted or rejected:
      • The status of your enrolment (accepted/rejected) is visible on your PSP.
      • Additionally, you will receive a confirmation email when your enrolment is accepted. Note that the email may be redirected to your spam folder.
    4. Check the page "Laurea ServiceDesk - Registering other university's account to Canvas" to see if you can use your own university's Haka account and register it on the Canvas login page. If your own UAS is not listed, proceed from step 5.
    5. Activate your Laurea user account before logging into the Canvas learning platform.
      • Log into the Canvas learning platform with your Laurea credentials or your own university's credentials depending on where you study.
        Login address: canvas.laurea.fi
        The workspace for the course will be available no later than the start date of the course.
        Once your teacher has evaluated your performance, you can view your grade on your own student desktop (Pakki or Peppi).

    If your ernnolment for a course is not accepted, you will receive notification on your PSP. You will also receive an email about it.

    Cancellation of enrolment

    You can cancel your enrolment while the enrolment period is open. Cancel your enolment on the student desktop (Pakki or Peppi) on the enrollments tab. If your enrolment has already been accepted by the teacher and you still want to cancel, send an email to openuas@laurea.fi. In the email, mention your name and the course for which you want to cancel the enrolment.

  • I study at another university 
    1. Search for Laurea's course offerings on the CampusOnline portal, KiVANET, or KiVITA websites.
    2. Familiarise yourself with the course details and implementation plan.
    3. Enrol for a course organised by Laurea through the link provided in the course information. Enter your personal identification number in the correct format and use your home university's email address.
    4. Once your enrolment is accepted:
      • You will receive a confirmation email. Please note that the email may be directed to your spam folder.
      • Enrolments will be processed after the enrolment period ends. In continuous supply courses, enrolments are processed approximately once a week.
      • Enrolment may be closed earlier if places are filled.
    5. Check the page "Laurea ServiceDesk - Registering another university's account to Canvas" to see if you can use your own university's Haka account and register it on the Canvas login page. If your own UAS is not listed, proceed from step 6 and activate your Laurea user account.
    6. Activate your Laurea user account and enable two-factor authentication.
    7. Log into the Canvas learning platform with your Laurea credentials or your own university's credentials, depending on where you study.
      • The workspace will be available no later than the start date of the course.
    8. Once your studies have been evaluated by the teacher, transfer the assessment to your home university according to the instructions provided.
