Application period starts today - Get to know Laurea’s degree programmes

The application period for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at Laurea is 8–22 January 2025.

The application period for Laurea's degree programmes taught in English has started on 8 January. Laurea offers studies in both Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in English. The degree programmes are available as day and blended learning studies at the Leppävaara campus in Espoo and the Tikkurila campus in Vantaa, as well as fully online.

A total of 320 places are available in the programmes currently being applied for. Studies in these degree programmes will start in autumn 2025.

Six Bachelor’s degrees available in January

This January Laurea offers a total of ten degree programmes: Six Bachelor’s degrees and four Master’s degrees. The application period for the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Hospitality Management & Service Design was already held in Autumn 2024.

  • Degree Programme in Business Management (Daytime teaching, Leppävaara campus). This degree programme is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a career in business with an international focus in Finland or abroad. A key component of the programme is data-driven decision making and the use of digital tools to generate financial and market insights. You can specialise in digital marketing or financial management, and you can also choose studies from other areas of business management. Learn more about the programme here.
  • Degree Programme in Safety, Security and Risk Management (Blended learning, Leppävaara). Safety, Security and Risk Management programme educates you to become an expert on general preparedness and resilience in the society. In this programme you acquire a high level of integrity and critical understanding of risk management, and the ability to apply this knowledge in both private and public sectors. Graduates may work, for example, in safety, security and risk management planning, development and expert jobs in companies or as a consultant. Learn more about the programme here.
  • Degree Programme in Business Information Technology, Cyber Security (Online studies). In this programme you will deepen your expertise in Cybersecurity with business management perspective. Laurea continuously co-operates with industry partners (AWS, FISC, Hoxhunt, Insta, Loihde, Microsoft, Nixu, Nokia, Palo Alto Networks, PwC and Splunk) to bring in the latest competencies and technologies into our courses.Studies in the Business Information Technology programme are online. Online webinars, workshops and possible campus-based counselling sessions are typically organized at afternoons and early evenings Finnish time (GMT+2). Even though you will study remotely, you can interact with teachers, staff, and other students by using modern interactive online learning and communication platforms.   • Degree Programme in Business Information Technology, Developing Digital Services (Online studies). This programme gives you the chance to develop skills in IT and business management. Along with the digital service business, you will learn the basics of requirement analysis, application design, -implementation and -testing. These online programmes are particularly suitable for students who want to study independently, efficiently, and flexibly. Studies require good personal time management skills and target oriented mindset. Learn more about the programme here.
  • Degree Programme in Nursing (Daytime teaching, Tikkurila campus). Laurea is the largest educator of nurses in Finland. The nursing studies at Laurea are practically oriented and contain lectures, workshops, and simulation exercises. As a registered nurse, you will work for the holistic wellbeing of individuals, their families, and other groups. Learn more about the programme here.   • Degree Programme in Social Services (Daytime teaching, Tikkurila campus). This degree programme will provide you with the skills and tools to work with clients from diverse backgrounds. Graduates can find work in different areas within the social services field, for example, in child and family welfare, elderly care, youth work, substance abuse and criminal work, immigrant work, or early childhood education and care. Four Master’s degrees including one completely new programme

There are altogether four Master’s degree programmes available in Laurea. For the first time Laurea offers a Master’s degree programme in Technology Law. Learn more about the background of the new programme.

  • Technology Law (Online studies). If you want to develop your skills in technology law, this programme is for you. You will learn along with emerging regulations, resilience skills, ethics as well as CSR and ESG considerations. You will not only be well-versed in the law but also equipped to navigate the ethical and social responsibilities that come with the integration of technology into organisations' practices.   • Leading Transformational Change (Online studies). This is a Master’s programme for independent, curious thinkers who want to change the world. The mandatory courses will consist of courses focusing on consumer behaviour and brands, the Nudge – influencing individual and group behaviour, modelling laws, the digital economy, digital marketing and living in a changing world – an international perspective.   • Global Health and Crisis Management (Blended learning, Tikkurila campus). This programme focuses on health care and crisis leadership, management, and evidence-based development from the perspectives of global health and humanity, socially sustainable development, health and infection prevention and control as well as communication. Global Health studies are based on global needs. You are provided with general research and development competencies to work in developing, low- and middle-income countries.   • Service Innovation and Design (Blended learning, Leppävaara campus). In this Service Innovation and Design (SID) programme, you will acquire multidisciplinary knowledge of service innovation and design through advanced studies of different service theories and their implications for service innovation and design practice.
