Environmental Effect on Health Care and Wellbeing and Active Interventions

The objective of the ENACT project is ( 1) to derive a model assessing the exposomic risk (risk score based on poll-environmental exposures) of hospitalization for acute vascular and non-vascular NCD across different populations and locales; 2) to translate this risk from population to the individual level, predicting the risk of developing preclinical asymptomatic stages of disease.

The project aims to create a network collaboration model to meet the needs of caregivers in the Central Uusimaa wellbeing area (Keusote). The network collaboration model seeks to provide services more equitably and specifically tailored to the diverse needs of caregivers, alongside the statutory duties of Keusote. The project is implemented in cooperation with Keusote, Laurea University of Applied Sciences, and the caregivers' associations of Central Uusimaa and Hyvinkää. The project receives state funding from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health's health promotion appropriation

Socially Sustainable Early Childhood Education Future (SoSECE) project develops high quality early childhood education and care systems, improves the competences of educators and guidance staff, and promotes inclusion and diversity in all fields of education. It aims at cultivating and disseminating tools and methods that support early childhood education professionals in establishing, sustaining, and advancing high quality social and pedagogical learning environments and practices, contributing to the creation of a socially sustainable future for early childhood education. Social sustainability describes a dynamic and evolving concept rooted in the culture of action, where participation is deeply embedded at the level of operational culture, promoting community over individuality.

MoveOn - Monitoimijainen verkostotoimintamalli nuorten rikoskäyttäytymisen, katuväkivallan ja jengiytymisen ratkojana

The MoveOn project, in collaboration with network partners, is developing a Multi-Agency Network Model that responds swiftly to support young people exhibiting criminal behavior and their families. The model aims to address young people’s problems and identify service packages tailored to their needs to help break the cycle of crime. As part of the development of the multi-agency network model, the project is piloting a Peer Support Pair Model (a professional + a trained expert by experience), which provides support to young people and their families in engaging with available services.

DigiRise - Digitalisoituva rikosseuraamusala: Laadullinen tutkimus työntekijä-asiakas-suhteen ja rikosseuraamusalan osaamisvaatimusten muutoksesta digitalisaation myötä

The DigiRise research project (The digitizing field of criminal sanctions: Qualitative research on the change in the employee-client relationship and competence requirements in the field of criminal sanctions due to digitization) will be implemented during the years 2023-2024 and has been funded by the Prison and Probation Service of Finland (PPSF), Research and Development Fund. The research focuses on the PPSF's employees and incarcerated people. The subject of interest is how digitalization changes client work and encounters between employees and incarcerated people. The research examines the opportunities and challenges related to the digitalization of prisons from the point of view of client involvement and desistance from crime. Of special interest is the change of operational culture and the changing employee-client relationship. The research asks: 1) How does digitalization change client work with incarcerated people? What is the significance of digitalization from the point of view of interaction between employee and client, as well as client processes?, and 2) How does digitalization change the professional and competence requirements of work in the field of criminal sanctions?
