Nikolina Koporcic named Senior researcher at Laurea
Laurea is upgrading the effectiveness of its RDI activities through ten researcher recruitments.

Laurea University of Applied Sciences has launched a career path for researchers this year, and recruitment for ten researchers has started in that connection. Tasks are opening in all of Laurea's research programmes, which include a Sustainable and versatile social and health sector, the Service business and circular economy, and Uniform security.
Doctor of Science Nikolina Koporcic has been named a Senior researcher at Laurea. She has previously worked as an Assistant professor at universities, including Åbo Akademi University and the University of Nottingham in the UK. She is also a Visiting Professor at the Luleå University of Technology in Sweden.
Nikolina Koporcic's background is in economics and she has previously focused especially on B2B marketing and branding. Together with Professor Emeritus Jan-Åke Törnroos she has published the book Understanding Interactive Network Branding in SME Firms (2019), which is based on Koporcic's doctoral dissertation.
- Another theme that I am interested in – and one which is closely linked with Laurea – is the interaction between companies and cooperation among different stakeholders. These interactions result in the value that is co-created through extensive collaboration, collecting feedback from end-users, or utilising the principles of open innovation, Nikolina Koporcic explains.
Koporcic is enthusiastically looking forward to working at Laurea, especially in projects related to business development and circular economy:
- A career path focusing on research is a magnificent opportunity, and I hope that I can help Laurea on this research path. Moreover, I hope that we will be able to co-create this position to be of value to all of us.
