Attendo has joined to Laurea’s key partners

Attendo, a provider of social and health services, has joined to Laurea’s key partners.

Attendo is a private provider of public care services and a strong Nordic player, employing around 16,000 people in Finland. The company provides care, rehabilitation, housing, meal, and cleaning services to around 12,000 clients in Finland in 430 care and service homes owned by the company. Attendo also provides physiotherapy and speech therapy and acts as a partner to welfare regions in child protection.

Through key partner co-operation, Attendo aims to build attractiveness in the sector and to implement development projects together with Laurea. Through closer co-operation, the care company will be able to offer sectors students work and internships. They can also offer thesis opportunities without limiting the students’ field of study. Student co-operation with Laurea brings new perspectives to the daily life of the company.

-Collaborating with students means fresh new thinking, opinions, developing the sector and building attractiveness, says Annareetta Vaara, Regional Director of Services for the Elderly in Attendo's Southern Finland region.

-We also expect the co-operation to provide interesting internship and job opportunities, as well as joint development through various projects, projects and theses.

For students in the field, the company will offer internship and work opportunities with the elderly, child welfare, people with mental health and substance abuse problems and people with disabilities. As an employer, Attendo has a strong desire to develop and support leadership through servant leadership. Servant leadership puts employee wellbeing, motivation and growth at the heart of leadership, which has been shown to increase job satisfaction, creativity and confidence, and reduce work fatigue.

As a forward-looking company, Attendo encourages its employees to develop their professional skills through various internal training courses.

- We offer many different opportunities to build your own career, for example as a team leader, an empowerment trainer, a quality coordinator or even an internal customer experience coach (ASKO). Attendo's front-line staff have their own tailored leadership training and are encouraged to take part in a course such as the LEAT in addition to their work.
