Application period ended - More than 3000 applicants applied to Laurea’s degree programmes

The application period for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes at Laurea took place 8–22 January 2025.

The application period for Laurea's degree programmes taught in English has ended on 21 January. Laurea offered studies in both Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in English. 

A total of 320 places were available in the programmes. Studies in these degree programmes will start in autumn 2025.

This time Laurea attracted 3317 applicants (Finnish National Agency for Education).

Starting from 1 January 2025, the applicants applying to English-taught degree programmes are from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland were required to pay an application fee of 100 euros to apply to Bachelor's or Master's level studies in Finland.

Business management and service design attracted applicants

The most popular of the Bachelor's degree programmes was the Degree Programme in Business Management, which will start in the autumn as day studies at the Leppävaara campus.

The next most popular choices were the Degree programme in Business Information Technology, which focuses on cybersecurity, and the Degree programme in Nursing. The same degree programmes were in the top three also a year ago.

The most popular of the degrees leading to a Master's degree was the Master's degree programme in Service Innovation and Design. Global Health and Crisis Management, which focuses on the global challenges of well-being, also attracted interest.

The results will be published latest by 28th May 2025

Admission to Laurea degree programmes in English is based (depending on the degree programme) on the result of the entrance examination or SAT Test results. The notification of results will be published latest by 28th May 2025 for the spring 2025 application period. Learn more about the application process.

The next opportunity to apply for a place in Laurea's English-language degree programmes is a separate call for applications for the English-language Master's Degree Managing Digital Transformation in the Health Sector from 27 January to 14 February. This degree, which combines digitalisation and healthcare, is a collaboration between three European higher education institutions.
