Varautuminen ja resilienssi oppilaitoksissa ja yhteisöissä VARY
VARY, a course in continuing education, tackled the theme of updating and sharing knowledge on emergency preparedness in comprehensive schools, early education, and local communities reached through these services. The course also dealt with the theme of safety skills of children and young people based on recent research, reaching out to families and households in local communities and societal resilience in the sectors of education and social care. This online course was organised twice during autumn term 2023 and spring term 2024.

The VARY project (Varautuminen ja resilienssi oppilaitoksissa ja yhteisöissä/Preparedness and resilience in educational institutions and communities) was a course in continuing education funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education in 2023-2024. At the end of the project, the teaching materials were edited into a course booklet in Finnish "Varautuminen ja resilienssi oppilaitoksissa ja yhteisöissä: VARY-oppimateriaali". The booklet has been published in the Laurea Theseus portal and Avointen oppimateriaalien kirjasto.
