Sustainable Laurea

The goal of sustainable education activities is that Laurea’s students and alumni are known as solution-oriented experts in sustainable development and circular economy.

The goal of RDI activities is that Laurea produces knowledge and creates operating models which support SDG achievement in keeping with the research programs and crosscutting themes.

Laurea is recognized supporter of sustainable development in organizations and a developer of solutions in the region of Uusimaa.

Laurea aims to ensure that Laurea’s facilities serve the activities effectively, are used efficiently and load their environment as little as possible.

Sustainable procurement refers to socially, economically and environmentally responsible purchases.

Sustainable development goals are taken into account when catering services are put out to tender.

Laurea’s goal is being a carbon-neutral higher education institution in 2030. We want to reduce our carbon footprint in many ways and one of these areas is sustainable mobility.

The integration of sustainable development themes into degree programmes has begun, and this work will be continued systematically and extended to all education activities at Laurea.
