Environmental Effect on Health Care and Wellbeing and Active Interventions
The objective of the ENACT project is ( 1) to derive a model assessing the exposomic risk (risk score based on poll-environmental exposures) of hospitalization for acute vascular and non-vascular NCD across different populations and locales; 2) to translate this risk from population to the individual level, predicting the risk of developing preclinical asymptomatic stages of disease.

Reskill Revolution: Pioneering Change in Adult Education
Funded by Erasmus+ KA3, RESKILL REVOLUTION is an international project focusing on developing micro courses for individuals to upskill them to enter the service sector in the EU. The training is both available on vocational and higher education level, and certificates are received on completed training. The project runs during 2025-2028. The partners in the project are: Laurea (coordinator), Mesensei Oy, Klaipeda University Lithuania, HR Consulting Lithuania, Kiel UAS Germany, WSG Poland, Link University Campus Italy and CETT in Spain.

The project TOTTE of Laurea and YES ry tackles the labour market mismatch problem by developing the identification and definition of the core competence needs needed in work tasks and by developing the identification and visibility of the competence of an employee or potential employee. Development is carried out in the competence networks assembled in the project, and the outputs are competence cards, a competence map tool, a career description model, short documentary videos and a documented development process description.

Sairaanhoitajaksi Suomessa - EU- ja ETA-maiden ulkopuolella, ei-Bachelor -tasoisen sairaanhoitajan pätevöityminen työelämään
In cooperation with working life, the project develops a qualification path for non-Bachelor-level nursing graduates from outside the EU and EEA countries into the Finnish working life. The goal is to increase nurses' knowledge of Finnish social and health care structures, the legislation that guides them, patient safety and the ethical principles of nursing work, and to strengthen the health care Finnish language skills in working life. In addition, the project compiles and evaluates methods for assessing the competence of nurses. The project produces a model of the nurse's qualification path for the website, from which it can be used in the future when recruiting foreign nurses to work in Finnish social and health care. DigiRise - Digitalisoituva rikosseuraamusala: Laadullinen tutkimus työntekijä-asiakas-suhteen ja rikosseuraamusalan osaamisvaatimusten muutoksesta digitalisaation myötä
The DigiRise research project (The digitizing field of criminal sanctions: Qualitative research on the change in the employee-client relationship and competence requirements in the field of criminal sanctions due to digitization) will be implemented during the years 2023-2024 and has been funded by the Prison and Probation Service of Finland (PPSF), Research and Development Fund. The research focuses on the PPSF's employees and incarcerated people. The subject of interest is how digitalization changes client work and encounters between employees and incarcerated people. The research examines the opportunities and challenges related to the digitalization of prisons from the point of view of client involvement and desistance from crime. Of special interest is the change of operational culture and the changing employee-client relationship. The research asks: 1) How does digitalization change client work with incarcerated people? What is the significance of digitalization from the point of view of interaction between employee and client, as well as client processes?, and 2) How does digitalization change the professional and competence requirements of work in the field of criminal sanctions?
