The ETAPLATE project (Ecosystem for Transatlantic Collaboration in Planetary Health and Wellbeing Enhancements) is a research, development, and innovation initiative aimed at creating an ecosystem model that promotes collaboration between actors in the Uusimaa region and North America. One of the project’s focuses is advancing structured data management practices to effectively use health and wellbeing data.

The project brings together universities, research institutions, public sector entities, and businesses, all working to break down organizational silos and foster new forms of cooperation between different stakeholders. This multi-actor approach is based on the Quadruple Helix model, which supports broad-based collaboration across various sectors.

The ecosystem model developed through the ETAPLATE project will be applicable to other themes as well and is expected to assist in preparing international funding applications and developing follow-up projects. The cooperation models and data management practices established within the project will be widely applicable, strengthening the position of actors in the Uusimaa region in international research and innovation activities.
