Laurea rewards excellence – good grades guarantee separate study rights for Master’s degree studies
Students who complete their Bachelor's degree within the target time and with at least good grades will be granted separate study rights for Master's degree studies.
In 2026, new students at Laurea University of Applied Sciences will have a unique opportunity: students who complete their Bachelor's degree within the target time and with at least good grades will be granted separate study rights for Master's degree studies.
This separate right to study allows students to begin their Master's degree studies immediately after completing their Bachelor's degree, without having to apply through the joint application system. Students are offered a wide range of complementary studies for their Master's degree free of charge. Once applicants have completed 30 credits of Master's degree studies and meet the other requirements, they can apply for actual degree study rights in a separate application process. Admission to Master's degree studies requires two years of work experience.
Laurea's Predident, CEO Jouni Koski believes that the new pathway will support students in continuing their learning and thus increase their professional opportunities.
- This reform supports the competence needs of both individuals and society, emphasizes President, CEO Koski.
- The new free pathway to Master's degree studies is a concrete way to encourage students who have completed their studies with excellent results to continue their professional development – without having to apply through the joint application system. This benefit offers students the opportunity to deepen their expertise and strengthen their position in working life.
