The main objectve of PROVIP is to ensure a wide and structural uptake of the EU-VIP results (and other project results) in the field of virtual(ly supported) work placements with a clear focus on businesses. To this end the project will aim at the further dissemination and exploitation of the guidelines and the training material on how to integrate virtual mobility in international internships that were developed in the EU-VIP project. The project will realize these goals through a double approach:

  • Dissemination and training activities in all project countries, on a regional as well as a European level to promote active use of the project results, mainly (but not exclusively) targeted at the business sector. To this end business networks have been attracted to reinforce the initial EU-VIP partnership. But also students and HEIs will be actively involved in these activities.
  • The realization of a concrete collaboration between higher education institutions and companies all over Europe focusing on (virtually supported) international work placements.  This collaboration will be facilitated via an online platform. In the beginning of the project concrete needs will be researched and it will be decided whether this will be a new platform but preferably this will be embedded in another existing platform or network. The platform will be tested by a pilot business – university network. Also the students/student networks will be involved in this pilot as it is them who in the end are the main target groups. It will be conceptualized in such a way that it can be easily expanded and will be easily transferable to other sectors.

This way, the project wishes to provide solutions to the dissemination and exploitation issues that have been identified during the EU-VIP project: (1) the need to seriously enlarge the dissemination towards businesses and (2) the need to create a structural link between higher education institutions and businesses.
