Business Information Technology

Students of the programme will become competent in international information and communication technology (ICT) business. The degree programme offers a broad range of study units in ICT Systems, Networks, Innovative Business Solutions, Business Service Systems and Information Security, with an opportunity to specialize in one of them. The student gains valuable practical experience and training by participating in working life projects in industrial or commercial settings during their study period.

The objective of the programme is to train and prepare graduates, professionals and experts who can be representatives in domestic and international co-operative service design and development projects. The practical approach featured throughout will enable students to make an effective and immediate contribution within their work environment and community. A graduate student can look forward to excellent career prospects.

Bachelors of Business Administration graduating from the Degree Programme in Business Information Technology may obtain employment as

• IT service experts,

• system experts,

• system designers,

• IT designers,

• software architects,

• technical designers,

• web application developers,

• network developers,

• programmers,

• micro support or online support people,

• IT trainers or

• consultants.

As their experience grows, their careers may take them towards increasingly demanding IT jobs. Graduates of Business Information Technology may work in companies that develop IT services and solutions or any other businesses or organisations that use these services and solutions. Employment opportunities lie in developing or maintaining IT services and solutions in trade, industry, social services, health care, education or public administration.
