Studying at Laurea for a full Bachelor's or Master's Degree
Laurea University of Applied Sciences has seven local units in the Greater Helsinki Region and provides educational services on four fields of study. There are seven Bachelor programmes in English and two Master programmes in English.
Laurea uses a competence-based core curriculum. Studies at Laurea include study units and working life projects which are executed according to Laurea’s learning model, Learning by Developing (LbD). Study methods also include a variety of lectures, e-learning methods, group and individual assignments, presentations and exams.

A good command of English is needed to study at Laurea. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages self-assessment grid can be used to asses language skills in English.
Laurea does not have tuition fees, but international students need to cover their living costs themselves and are not eligible for the Finnish government student grant. Laurea offers guidance and tutoring to all students. International students are also entitled to students benefits. All international students are welcomed to participate in the orientation events organised by Student Union LAUREAMKO.
