Service Innovation Design - SID

Service Innovation and Design (SID) refers to user-centred product innovation, development and design. SID is a highly ‎inter-disciplinary, practically oriented, competence-intensive and applied method that combines business, design and ‎ICT competence, among other fields.

Laurea SID is focused on service operation, security competence and student entrepreneurship. The unit is a hub of ‎research, development and innovation, where various R&D&I environments (Laurea SID Labs) provide a dynamic and ‎inspiring learning environment for both Laurea's students and research trainees from all over the world. The large ‎number of international students at SID allows to improve language skills and become familiar with different cultures.‎

The Spinno Enterprise Center, which supports the establishment of student entrepreneurship and growth ‎entrepreneurship, forms a natural continuation to the R&D activities.‎
