Transfer Application

A transfer student is a student who transfers his or her study entitlement from one university of applied sciences to another (to the same degree, the same degree title, the same degree programme or a corresponding one and, in the case of the Degree Programme in Nursing, also the same specialization). Universities of applied sciences will accept a student previously accepted by another university of applied sciences or polytechnic. The regulatory duration of studies and the study entitlement period of transfer students officially begin on the day they first accepted the place to study at the initial institution.

Transfers can be applied for after the first term of the academic year is completed. The application periods are in April and November. Transfer students must have completed at least 23 credits per completed term whilst registered as present at the previous institution.

A transfer applicant must scan his/her official Study Certificate and Transcript of Records and attach them to the transfer application. The official Study Certificate and Transcript of Records must be obtained from the Student Office. If necessary the applicant may also attach a statement from his/her current university of applied sciences clarifying any pending credits. Certificates sent by fax or e-mail are not accepted. Only one transfer application form per applicant will be considered.The application must include the required attachments and it must be submitted during application period. Insufficient applications will not be processed.

If the number of transfer applications exceeds the available amount of study places, the transfer student selection will be based on the students aptitude (Degree programmes), total number of credits completed and grades received. The transfer student selection is conditional until the student withdraws from the previous university of applied sciences and until the student's credits been verified from the official transcript of records of the previous university of applied sciences.
