Certificates 

In general the upper secondary school certificate awarded after 12 years of education is the requirement.

All applicants applying with an upper secondary, IB, Reifeprüfung  or vocational qualification completed in Finland:
You are eligible to apply and your educational certificates will be checked only if you are selected for admission. If you are graduating in spring 2012 you are eligible to apply and your admission is conditional until your final certificate has been checked. Changes to your grade point average must be notified to the admissions office before 18th May 2012. A photocopy of your final graduation certificate must be submitted to Admissions Office latest by 31st July 2012. You are not required to provide a language certificate. The admission of an applicant applying with an upper secondary,IB or Reifeprüfung completed in Finland is based on the entrance exam results + points for school performance.

All applicants applying with a further/specialist vocational qualification (ammattitutkinto/erikoisammattitutkinto) completed in Finland:
In order to be considered you must have graduated before the end of the application period (14th February 2012) and submit to the admissions office a photocopy of the final graduation certificate by the deadline 24th February 2012. A language certificate is not required.

All applicants who are applying with a completed foreign upper secondary completed outside Finland:In order to be considered, you must submit to the Admissions Office a good photocopy of your final upper secondary school certificate and a photocopy of it's official translation into English or Finnish. You can apply if your upper secondary school certificate gives eligibility to apply to higher education in the awarding country. In general the upper secondary school certificate awarded after 12 years of education is the requirement. UAS only accept final certificates awarded by national and regional bodies granting educational certificates. Therefore various other temporary documents such as 'Testimonials', 'Statements of Results', 'Examination Results' or 'Result Slips' are not considered. In addition, non-EU/EEA citizens applying with a foreign upper secondary school certificate must also send an approved language certificate. All certificates must arrive before 24th February 2012.

If you are an EU/EEA citizen and graduating from upper secondary school during spring  2012,  you are eligible to apply.  If you are selected for admission, your admission is conditional until your final upper secondary graduation certificate has been checked (latest by 31st July 2012). You are not required to send a language certificate.

 

Translations

If any of your documents are issued in another language than Finnish, Swedish or English you must also provide a photocopy of the official translation in Finnish or English.Translations must be made by an authorised translator (stamped and signed).
